VALLE DO NÍDEO – Douro DOC is part of a business project started in 1941 by Hermínio Augusto Abrantes with the acquisition of Quinta do Daniel, located in the village of Pocinho, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, Douro Superior Sub-region, referenced since the year 1893.

After seventy years of activity dedicated exclusively to the production of grapes destined to the production of Port Wine, the first table wine with its own brand was published in 2003 – VALLE DO NÍDEO – Superior – 2001 Red, on the initiative of the oenologist MIGUEL ABRANTES, grandson of the founder.
