Climate: Continental Mediterranean climate; high daily temperatures in the summer months; good thermal amplitude during the harvesting period.

Soils: Magnesium sedimentary soils, predominantly silty materials. Average fertility and water holding capacity, depending on particle size. Slightly alkaline soils.

Vineyard Area: 70 hectares

Varieties: Alicante Bouschet (50%); Tinta Miúda (30%) and Touriga Nacional (20%)

Exposure Predominance: ‘South-Southwest’ Compass: 2.2m x 1.3m and 2.5m x 1.3m Conduction: Bilateral cord Watering: All vineyards with drip irrigation under a controlled regime. Cultural interventions carefully adapted to each breed and plot for the production of excellent fruit quality. Application of a maximum production limit per strain through bunting. The entire harvest is carefully selected and transported in 25 kg boxes to the cellar.

ENOLOGY: Process Manual selection on sorting table. Inoculation with selected yeasts. Fermentation in mills with prolonged maceration. Stage of 16 months in new French oak barrels.

Description Organoleptic: Color: Deep live garnet color. Aroma: Complex aroma of ripe fruit well integrated with wood. Palate: Taste rich in fruit, very concentrated, prolonged end. Structure that will allow a good evolution in the bottle.

It should be served at a temperature of 14 to 16ºC.

Ideal for dishes rich in Alentejo cuisine.
