These wines associate their quality with the name of the Carthusian monks who since 1587 lead a solitary life of prayer in the Convent of Santa Maria Scala Coeli.

These wines are based on the most common Alentejo grape varieties: Trincadeira, Aragonez, Alfrocheiro, Periquita, Moreto and Tinta Caiada.
