BATUTA

Batuta is not a wine made every year. The base of this wine is Carril vineyard, over 70 years old and also other old vineyards (about 100 years old), near the Quinta de Nápoles.

This wine is the result of a careful selection in the vineyard and the table of choice of the winery, and a delicate winemaking with macerations taken to the limit where all the details are taken into account to obtain a complex, fine and elegant wine.

The wine staggered in French oak barrels for a period of 20 to 22 months, presenting intense and loaded color, with great intensity and aromatic complexity.

In the mouth it has great breadth and precision, austere, with discrete black fruit, very focused on minerality, has a great structure with velvet tannins and a seductive freshness.

All conjugated in the long end and very persistent, for a long life in bottle and a great potential of aging.

It shows a beautiful ruby color, intense and alive. A deep and complex aroma, although slightly restrained, its mineral and forest profile is in full harmony with the barrel notes.

Over time in the glass, the wine will show several layers, in a very elegant register, with fresh spices such as black pepper and cloves.

Slim and elegant in the mouth, with a silky texture and firm structure, it features very polished and luxurious tannins. Deep and multidimensional.

Although young, it impresses by its balance. End of mouth very thin, very long and seductive. Will grow old with great class.

Varieties: Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Rufete, Malvazia Preta and others
