CATARINA – QUINTA DA BACALHOA

Color: White Capacity: 750ml Grade: 14% Vol.

Winemaking: In this wine, the Fernão Pires wort and the Arinto must, separately fermented in stainless steel tanks; the Chardonnay was fermented in new French oak barrels, having aged in the same barrels 4 and a half months with batonnage.

Stage: The caste Chardonnay partially fermented and aged 5 months in new French oak barrels.

Tasting notes: Pale yellow in color, this crop is very delicate, elegant, mineral and floral. In the mouth these impressions are supplemented with notes of yellow fruit, such as peach and pineapple, combined with subtle sensations of roasted wood, presenting a firm, very fresh, mineral, long and complex finish.

Gastronomy: Soups and fish dishes, as well as more spicy dishes, given their body and aromatic complexity. We also recommend with Azeitão cheese, in an opposition of flavors.

Service Temperature: 10 – 12ºC

Awards: Decanter World Wine Awards – Bronze Medal (2015) International Wine & Spirits Competition – Bronze Medal (2015) Competition Wines of Portugal – Silver Medal (2015)s – 16,5 Pontos (2015)
