QUINTA DO CÔRO RESERVA

Located in one of the best “terroir” of the Ribatejo, this 80 hectare family estate has been planted around 20 ha of exceptional micro-climate vineyards where the varieties Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Alicante Bouschet and Petit Verdot find unique conditions for the production of great wines, under strict rules of environmental protection.

Varieties: Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon and Alicante Bouschet

Vinification and stage: Manual harvesting for plastic box during the 2nd week of September, with choice in vibratory table before the disengagement.

Fermentation in stainless steel mill of small capacity Temperture of 24ºc, with pre-maceration for 2 days.

The stage took place in new barrels of French (70%) and American (30%) oak for 10 months. The wine has not been stabilized before bottling, so as not to affect its evolution potential, and may create a slight natural deposit.

Organoleptic taste: Pomegranate color, aromas of ripe red fruits and forest berries with a touch of dry tobacco leaf.

The mouth has good volume with firm but well matured tannins to provide excellent balance and finish with good persistence.

Gastronomic suggestions: It accompanies well dishes of big game and other seasoned meats, as well as cheeses of soft paste.
