ARINTO DOS AÇORES – ILHA DO PICO

A unique terroir in the world, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, at the base of the Pico volcanic mountain, the vineyards are planted in the cracks of the rock, by the sea, where you can hear the “crab singing”, because here is more sun and hot.

A proximity of sometimes scarce meters which obliges the protection of the vineyard, by walls (corrals), the strong saline winds of the Atlantic.

Arinto dos Açores is an exclusive and indigenous caste of the Azores islands, having in common with the Arinto of the continent only the name and good acidity.
